After a sightseeing day at Mumbai you will be visiting Aurangabad. It is the iconic UNESCO Heritage Sites of Ajanta Caves and Ellora Caves, first on your list here. Hyderabad and its richness awaits for you next. Charminar, Salar Jung Museum, the Mecca Mosque are some of the must visits here. Your excursion to Golconda fort will be a new experience. The fort dates back to 16th Century and still stands as a marvel of architecture & clever acoustics. After spending a day at Golconda you will be flying back to Chennai. The next day it is Mahabalipuram – the seven pagodas& Kanchipuram – city of thousand temples and back to Chennai from where you board a train to Mysore. Excursion of Belur & Halebid rom Mysore is solely to get a drift of those 900 years old temples that are an exquisite example of Hoysala art. Next three days are to be spent in Mysore & Bangalore/ Bengaluru. The tour is planned to ensure that you enjoy your travel and stay and get an experience of lifetime visiting the different heritage sites in west & south India.

Itinerary

  • Day 01 : Arrive Mumbai

    On arrival at Mumbai airport you'll be welcomed by our company representative, who will escorted you to your hotel. Enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel.

  • Day 02 : Mumbai – Aurangabad (flight)

    Early morning after lavish breakfast enjoy the sightseeing tour of Mumbai. Start our tour with the boat cruise to Elephanta Caves which are popular due to their rock cut temples. After Elephanta caves visit Prince of Wales Museum which is now known as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalay, was built to commemorate King George V’s first visit to India in 1905 and is one of the leading museum in country, Hanging Gardens also known as the Ferozeshah Mehta Gardens presents a beautiful view of the city harbour, Gateway of India, principal landmark of Mumbai has a striking arch in the Indo-Sarcenic style with skilful integration of Gujarati and Islamic influences. Evening, you will be transferred to the airport to board your flight to Aurangabad

  • Day 03 : Aurangabad

    Today we will proceed to visit Ajanta Caves. Ajanta is World historical monument recognized by UNESCO as the World Heritage Site. It was discovered during the 19th century by a group of British officers who were on a tiger hunt. There are 30 Caves in total out of which 9, 10, 19, 26, 29 are Chaitya Grihas and rest are monasteries.

  • Day 04 : Ellora Caves – Hyderabad (overnight train)

    Today we will proceed to visit Ellora Caves which has been designated as a UNESCO’s one of the highly visited World heritage sites of India. Ellora caves contain 34 Caves out of which 12 are Buddhists, 17 are Hindus and 5 are Jain caves. The 16th Cave named Kailasa is the largest monolithic structure in the world. It also has some of the excellent stonework depicting the legends related to Lord Shiva.

    Highlights : Evening, you are transferred to train station to board an overnight train to Hyderabad.

  • Day 05 : Hyderabad

    Morning arrive Hyderabad and transfer to Hotel. Afternoon tour of Hyderabad. Visit Charminar - Rectangular Four Arched Monumental Gate often described as the -The Arch of Triumph of the East, The Mecca Mosque & visit the Salar Jung Museum - one man collection of Manuscripts, ancient weapons, costumes & curios. Visit the High Court buildings. Overnight Hyderabad.

  • Day 06 : Excursion to Golconda

    Today we will drive to Golconda, where we will visit the Golconda Fort situated on the Western outskirts of Hyderabad. The fort built in the 13th century, served the kings as a Stronghold, Administrative Centre and Market Place. See the expansive Roof Gardens. Also visit the Tombs of Qutab Shahi Kings in a beautiful domed Mausoleum surrounded by Gardens. The tombs follow certain pattern with Hindu style ornamentation, while important ones have their own Mosques. Evening, we enjoy a sound and light show at Golconda Fort, elaborates a history of fort in voice of legendry Bollywood actor – Amitabh Bachhan. Later return back to our hotel in Golconda. Overnight is in Hyderabad.

  • Day 07 : Hyderabad - Chennai (by flight)

    Morning, transfer to the airport for Chennai (Madras) flight. Assistance upon arrival at Chennai airport and transfer to your pre booked hotel. After little rest, proceed for a city tour. Visit the museum to see the Art and Bronze Gallery (Closed on Fridays and Public holidays). Drive through the Flower and Fruit market, High court, Fort museum, Marina Beach, Santhome Cathedral and snake park. Overnight Chennai (Madras).

  • Day 08 : Chennai – Mahabalipuram – Kanchipuram – Chennai

    Today we proceed to full day excursion of Mahabalipuram and Kanchipuram.

    Kanchipuram is about 64 Km from Chennai and is famous for temples. It is also called the “city of thousand temples”. The first-ever temple dedicated to Shiva was built in the 7th and 8th century and has ancient wall paintings. Ekambaswara, Kailasanatha, Sri Kamakshi and Varadarajaswamy are temples one must visit. Donot forget to visit the markets of Kanchipuram which is famous for its silks.

    Later we will go to Mahabalipuram famous for the seven pagodas. It also has on its seashore an ancient group of rock hewn temples which represent the Dravidian style of architecture. Shore temple is worth visiting.

  • Day 09 : Chennai – Mysore (by train)

    Morning, transfer to the train station to board Shatabdi Express train to Mysore. Afternoon, arrive at the Mysore train station and get assisted by our company representative to your car and transfer to hotel. Spend an afternoon at the hotel for rest and relaxation, Evening, have walks at the local areas.

  • Day 10 : Mysore – Belur – Halebid – Shravanabelagola – Mysore

    Today, proceed for a full day excursion of Belur and Halebid. The architectural beauty of these places will bind you for long. These places have got hypnotic character and will make you speech less for some time. Visit Hoysaleshwar Temple which has great architectural carvings over its wall. The Chennakesava Temple of Belur is not to miss sight once you are in Belur. The architectural beauty of these places cannot be expressed in words.

    The Chenna Kesava temple of Belur built 900 years ago is an exquisite example of Hoysala art.

    On the return, visit Shravanabelagola, hewn out of a single rock and visible from a distance of 25 kms is the statue of Lord Gomteshwara which is bathed with milk and honey once every 12 years. Overnight is at Mysore.

  • Day 11 : Mysore

    Today, we will proceed with the city sightseeing visit the Mysore palace of the Maharaja, built in 1911-1912. The palace is of harmonious syntheses of the Hindu and saracenic styles of architecture with archways, domes, turrets, colonnades and sculptures which are magnificent. Visit the Art Gallery; drive up to Chamundi hill to see Chamundeshwari Temple and a panoramic view of Mysore. On the way back, see the Nandi Bull – which is more than 350 years old. Overnight is at Mysore

  • Day 12 : Mysore - Bangalore

    Today we will head to Bangalore, known as the garden city of India, is the capital of Karnataka. The city spreads over an area of 2190Sq. Kms, is the main administrative, cultural, commercial and industrial centre of Karnataka. Today the city is Asia's fastest growing cosmopolitan city. Situated at an altitude of about 1,000 metres above sea level, the city enjoys pleasant climate throughout the year. The climate of the city has been a major attraction to people from other parts of the country. The parks, gardens and other scenic spots add more charm to the city.

    Upon arrival in Bangalore, check into your hotel

    Evening we will visit the Lal Bagh with a variety of old trees, fountains, lotus pools, terraces & an assortment of tropical and sub-tropical herbs. Also see the Maharaja's Palace and Government Buildings. Overnight is at Bangalore

  • Day 13 : Bangalore - Mumbai (by flight)

    Morning after breakfast, check out from hotel, and visit Bull Temple, St. Mary's Church, Gandhi Bhavan, Vidhana Soudha.

    Following sightseeing, transfer you to the airport to board your flight to Mumbai. Meeting and assistance upon arrival in Mumbai and transfer you to your hotel

    Optional : Evening, you may visit to Juhu and Chowpatty Beach, and had a walk near sea.

  • Day 14 : Transfer to Airport

    Morning if our time permits, we will visit Kamla Nehru Park, Hanging Gardens situated on the slopes of Malabar Hill offering a panoramic view of Marine Drive, Chowpatty Beach, Prince of Wales Museum, Mani Bhawan, Dhobi Ghat, Gateway of India & drive through the Crawford Market, Marine Drive and Flora Fountain.
